The Black Educators Association, Adult Learning Program is the delivery of programs designed for adult Nova Scotians who want to improve their literacy skills.  Literacy in a broad sense is not just the ability to read and write, it is relative to a person’s skills in doing common things and dealing with the demands of everyday life, particularly in the workplace.  A highly literate workplace is not only fundamental to the competitive performance of an economy, it is essential to a society's development and growth.
